Dear Nitz, Melly and all you wonderfull girls I have been with.
Thank you!!! You are quick, Nitz and Melly!
Yes, I have enjoyed every minute, although I have often been very exhausted...
On wednesday I realized I would be crying when leaving, but it came before. Today I was crying, because I am sad to leave you all.
I have never before experienced so much warm and caring hospitality, so much sharing, so much taking care of me, so wonderfull girls, and such a huge programme!
The most wonderfull thing though, has been the feeling of mutual understanding of the seafarer family life.
Even though our conditions are quite different, we still have the same feelings about many things, and I felt this was mutual.
You have - in many ways - a tough life, and yet you have so much to give. This has really touched my heart.
I will never forget this, and I hope to come back.
Take care of yourself, your seafarer and your kids.

Love and hugs Birgit

I am going back to Denmark.
Now it is your turn to write here!!!
Love Birgit

I am actually not quite sure where we are going, other than it is far away, that I will be picked up at 05.30 in the morning and that it is a pilgrimage tour, to a beautifull place in the countryside.

Thank you very much girls, for a wonderfull day!

Symposium on family life 1.00PM - 5.00PM in Paranaque

After entrance of colours, the national anthem of Denmark and Philippines, and doxology, we had a nice symposium with different views and stories.
We had participation by senior lecturer Ma. Gichelle A. Cruz from The University of Manila, who is also daughter of a seafarer. And her father sailed for many years for Maersk, a Danish principal. But when he got a small kidneystone, that would not disappear, he could no longer go to sea. and there was no longer a regular income.

After the symposium, there was a beautifull traditional dance by one of the students from the school, where the symposium was held.

We ended the day with dinner by Marian's wonderfull catering.
